Legendary Sound - Flexible Headset

DPA Microphones's d:fine™ 4188 Flex Directional Headset (DPA-4188DCFC10M) combines the legendary sound of the 4088 Directional Capsule with the lightweight and flexible d:fine™ Headset/earset system, the d:fine 4188 Directional Headset Microphone is ideal for both spoken word and vocal performance applications. It offers accurate and natural voice intelligibility and very high-SPL capabilities. Users can both speak and sing into the mic with no hint of distortion. This mic provides excellent off-axis rejection in high-SPL situations. It efficiently suppresses distant sound sources making it perfect for demanding live performance environments where background noise and feedback are concerns. The bass response is designed for optimal linearity at 2-3 cm (1 in) from the sound source. This means that the bass roll-off will be relatively prominent at a greater distance - a paramount factor when it comes to rejection of background noise and avoiding feedback. The microphone capsule is also optimized for low distortion as well as humidity resistance.

This model features DPA's CORE miniature amplifier, an updated, powerful new technology, providing a 14 dB increase in dynamic range. By increasing the dynamic range of the mics, CORE extends the point at which the distortion is audible. In addition, CORE lowers the general distortion heard at all levels - from soft to loud. All CORE microphones achieve IP58 certification with a water-repellent nano-coating of the housing, a hermetic sealing of the sensitive amplifier, and dual gold plating of the diaphragm. Durability and robustness are inherent in the mechanical design of the mics, which is aimed at minimizing the impact of exposure to heat, cold, tension, water, sweat, and dust, to mention a few.
